In 2005 the American broadcasting telethon invited Kanye West to talk about support to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Telethon was a charity action from redcross.org, and helped to raise money for all the damage from the hurricane. But out of nowhere Kanye West said "George Bush Doesn't Care About Black People", with no apparent reason. Everyone who watched and even the host got a jaw dropped down from their lips.

White men painted in black face paint would make fun of black people by their appearance, and the way they talk. It was for example made fun of why African people came to America. The Show was later taken down in around 10 years.

According to CNN, the broadcast networks ABC, NBC, and CBS spent a combined $12 million to cover the event, which would ultimately be viewed by an estimated 600 million people worldwide who watched Neil Armstrong take the first step on the moon.

Randy Johnson was one of the hardest throwing pitchers in baseball. It must have been something of a death wish, then, when a bird flew into one of his fastball's line of fire. Moments after Johnson released a pitch on March 21, 2001, baseball viewers were treated to a sudden explosion of feathers halfway to home plate as the collision occurred. Sadly, the animal did not survive the incident, and since then fans everywhere have attempted to avoid the urge to make a "fowl ball" pun.
